{"id":2146,"date":"2015-02-13T10:57:23","date_gmt":"2015-02-13T10:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.southbc.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=2146"},"modified":"2015-02-13T10:57:23","modified_gmt":"2015-02-13T10:57:23","slug":"2015-inter-regional-selection-criteria-south","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.southbc.org.uk\/wordpress\/2015-inter-regional-selection-criteria-south\/","title":{"rendered":"2015 Inter Regional Selection Criteria &#8211; South"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Region BC are in the process of drawing up a list of events that will be used for selecting riders for the 2015 School Games and Inter Region Championships<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Inter Regional Track Championships are part of the 2015 School Games which will take place in Manchester over the 4th to 6th September 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hadleigh Farm will host the Mountain Bike from the 18th\u00a0 to 20th September 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst a venue has yet to be confirmed the Road is provisionally 25th to 27th September 2015.<\/p>\n<p>All three teams will consist of 4 Boys &amp; 4 Girls who are born between 1999 and 2002, with each event having a one girl and boy named as a non-travelling reserve.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Selections will be made based on the following criteria that shall constitute the \u2018performance&#8217; for the purpose of selection:<\/p>\n<p>Attacking riding &#8211; ability to make repeated efforts<\/p>\n<p>Bike handling ability &#8211; cornering skills etc<\/p>\n<p>Finish position<\/p>\n<p>Tactical awareness<\/p>\n<p>Being a selfless team player<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Riders wishing to be considered should be capable of competing in multi-day events, and at National standard events. Attendance at additional sessions ie RSR\u2019s and any team training days set, will also be a requirement, when a long list has been named.<\/p>\n<p>The selectors will consider performances in each individual event in its own right, taking into account the above key selection points,\u00a0and the need to create a balanced team to contest all the events.
