PERFS PEDAL RACE

Sundays’ event saw poor weather conditions for the 48th running of the Perf’s Pedal Race.  77 Riders took to the Start line in the rain.

This event was, for 2013, a memorial to 23 year old VC St Raphaël member James Atherton, who was killed whilst out training recently. VC St Raphaël  put up a special prize for the highest placed  2nd Category rider from South Region BC.  This was the category that James competed in.  It  was awarded to 16 year old Tristan Robbins, from Bristol, who was taking part in his first road race as a  Junior, holding a second category licence.  Tristan finished the race  in 15th place.
